'I just can't give him up': White kitten rescued from the roadside near a school finds a loving forever home after completely stealing his rescuer’s heart

A kitten meowing from the roadside quickly became somebody's newest little best friend.

This rescuer in Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem subreddit really never stood a chance once Cirrus started meowing from the side of the road. After stopping to check things out, there was no way he was getting left behind. The plan at first was just to safely bring him to a shelter, but that changed pretty fast once the photos started happening. Tiny kittens have a way of making themselves impossible to give up after about five minutes.

The name Cirrus fits perfectly too. A fluffy little white kitten with a gray tuft named after clouds is ridiculously cute. He already sounds like one of those cats who permanently looks soft and slightly scruffy in the best way possible.

The shift from "temporary rescue" to full cat parent mode happened immediately too. One trip for supplies later and suddenly there was a little bed, litter box, and a whole setup waiting at home for him. That is usually how these stories go. Somebody says they are just helping for now, and then the kitten starts meowing, looking adorable, and completely taking over their life.

Then the vet visit somehow made him even cuter. Finding out he was only around five weeks old and barely over a pound makes him sound so smol. Cirrus seriously went from running across a road alone to being warm, safe, spoiled, and completely loved in record time.

    We've decided to name his Cirrus, like the cloud type. It means wisp of hair in Latin and his little grey tuft looks like a cloud in the sky.

  • His little gray spot seriously makes it look like he has a tiny kitten mohawk and it is way too adorable. It gives him so much personality already, especially on such a tiny fluffy little body. Cirrus looks like the sweetest little cloud kitten while also somehow looking ready to start a tiny punk rock band at the same time. That little tuft is definitely going to become one of those features everybody immediately falls in love with.

  • It would be impossible to give this little guy up after seeing that face for more than five minutes. Cirrus is way too cute. The tiny fluffy body, little gray tuft, and all those kitten noises never stood a chance against somebody trying to stay emotionally detached. And really, why go to a shelter when you can go straight home with the person who stopped to rescue you in the first place? Cirrus clearly picked the right human immediately.

  • Once you have officially been converted into a cat person by one tiny kitten, getting another one almost feels inevitable. The right number of cats somehow always becomes one more. You tell yourself you are just helping temporarily, and then suddenly there is another tiny fluffball sleeping in your house, stealing your blankets, and completely taking over your life. One kitten opens the door to becoming a full cat person, and after that the Cat Distribution System knows exactly where to send the next little rescue.
